So many people comment nowadays on the way shops used to be, and how much they miss them. They remember a time when every local shop was run by a friendly shopkeeper, who knew your name and always had time for a chat - someone who enjoyed serving their customers and, more importantly, truly believed those customers were always right!

We agree wholeheartedly, and these are the principles on which "The Old Apothecary" is founded. We are a small, family-run business. Since opening in 2000 we have worked hard to establish ourselves as "a shop with a difference", and are now becoming well known in the New Forest, and beyond.

Our shop fittings and memorabilia are authentic antiques, and we feel that our standard of service should also reflect a bygone age when customers were respected and valued. A customer recently commented that it was obvious, from the atmosphere we have created, how much we love our shop. We hope that you will love it too!
